Questions about the useradd

First,i want to say  i'm a greed hand of Linux

Today,I want to create a new user,I choose to use the command  USERADD username ....But I can't find directory of the username at /home

I don't know what problems are there?

please give us the exact command that you used so we can see if you used it correctly.

Did it give you any errors? Post them here.

Firstly ,thanks a lot ..
I just use the command like this     $ useradd mike   and  it did't give any errors   Then i   $ cd /etc/passwd  i can find the newuser that named  'mike' 

just a second  I came to know that if i use the command like this  $ useradd mike -m         Then i can find the directory at /home          Just like this  /home/mike




This is the my first time  of  posting a topic .....thank again

adduser is recommended for beginners - it's interactive and applies some sane defaults. If you still prefer useradd, read the relevant documentation before using it.
