Removed essential package - help to reinstall

Hi guys.

I've just done something dumb - deleted an essential package (util-linux)

My system no longer works. I have that package in /var/cache, but pacman wont install it, as it gives the error that there is a db.lk file (there's not)

I know I'm stupid - but is there another way to install this package from the cache?

Lots of basic system commands dont work either

Re: Removed essential package - help to reinstall

get into the system using a live Arch cd and then mount your root and /var in some folder use the -r flag of pacman to install the package again
