Nouveau driver: black border on right side of screen

I have a 1366x768 LCD monitor and I've never really noticed until now, but there is about a 6 pixel wide empty space in the right hand side of my monitor. It is actually eating out part of my screen. For example when I'm using any dwm it has borders around windows and the borders of a maximized window are only shown in the left side.  The resolution is 1366x768 but its not using all the monitor space. Its running as if my monitor is at 1360x768 but its not. I dont know how I could explain it any better. Don't tell me the monitor settings are off because I've already messed with it and it doesnt fix the problem. I've also had problems with using the nvidia driver instead of using 1366x768 resolution it uses 1368x768 and is scaled to fix my monitor so letters look all weird and unreadable. I'd really appreciate any input on this. I actually enjoy small resolutions so dont tell me to go buy another monitor. Thanks in advance.

Re: Nouveau driver: black border on right side of screen

I'm using the very crappy nvidia LE 7300 LE GeForce series
xrandr says:

archuser@archws ~ % xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1366 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096
VGA-1 connected 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 4
   1366x768 59.8*+
   1024x768 75.1 60.0
   800x600 75.0 60.3
