Hi,
I found that sound was coming from both my speakers and headphones, and I didn't want that. After googling around, I found that the solution is to add a certain line to your modprobe.conf. However, my driver does not have a model. It is Conexant 5069. After googling this too, I found this on the forums, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=98103.
There is a link posted to the ubuntuforums, but I don't quite understand what to do. I have downloaded the hda-verb tar.gz, but when I unzip and go to the folder and do ./configure, bash tells me there is no such file or directory. What do I do? How do I install this?

You don't need to './configure' it. Just issue 'make' and that's it.
But you're better off just using http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=33545 instead of installing it 'by hand' with 'make install', cause pacman won't be aware of it that way.
Have fun!
