FF4 Search

In the address bar, when i type just 1 word, it uses comcast search, e.g:
http://search5.comcast.com/?cat=dnsr&con=ds&url=test

However, when i use more than 1 word, it uses google. Why is it going to comcast?

Re: FF4 Search

A single word is perhaps being mistaken for a domain address.  ISPs in the U.S. will very often "provide a helper service" for what others may call "a DNS hijacking" when a user types an unresolvable domain address.  It's a ploy to increase counted eyeballs for advertising.

See http://dns-opt-out.comcast.net/help-index.php to opt out.
