Hi,
I'm just discovering openbox.
I succeed to add panels like: gnome-panel, fbpanel
But i don't succeed to add the panel of KDE
plasma gives me the whole kde desktop I think: but there is a problem with the menu's of the kde panel then. When I open the rightclick menu or kde launcher it appears at the opposite side of the screen.
eg: if my panel is at the bottom: my menu appears on top
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

What panels do you have in mind, now i am a very happy gnome-panel user
but i want to try something else and the kde4 panel gives me at least everything a gnome-panel has (and even more)
Suggestions then for another panel?

Do note that you can replace KWIN with openbox. That way you could have the plasma-desktop and any otehr fun stuff from KDE with oepnbox controlling your windows.
However I think doing so is a little odd, it is a possibility.
You can't have the kde 4 panel without plasma-desktop as the panel is simply a plasmoid.
If you are looking for a panel with eye candy you might also want to try Avant Window Navigator, Docky, or the like. I used AWN in pekWM for some time, works great IMO, though not as lightweight as tint for example.

Hi.
Im am just searching for a panel that can do everything my gnome panel did.
Lxpanel is nice, but nothing like gnome panel.
Im definitly not looking for eyecandy, just a panel i can do a lot with: applets, style etc.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
