Hello, I have modified the /etc/rc.conf, with LOCALE="en_US.UTF-8". However, I cannot read and write any unicode file name in the gnome-terminal. Besides that, in nautilus, cannot create folder or file name with unicode.
Then, in the terminal, I typed "locale charmap", it showed something "ANSI_X3.4-1968".
Then, I opened gnome-control-center Region and Language setting, then I choose the English (United States). I restarted, now can read and write the unicode file name. And "locale" command will show LANG=en_US.UTF-8.
Now, my question is, how can I reset the Region and Language setting to produce the unicode problem as beginning? What is the configuration file that store the Region and Language setting? This is because I would like to solve this problem with /etc/environment.
