arch for LPIC Teaching - may be

Hi ALL,

I use Linux from DLD on - a german slackware derivat in former times. I mostly use Debian and sometimes SLES for education for novell trainings. I think Arch mind be a good opportunity for teaching the linux basics in LPI-courses. May be I use it as my main Distro but I have to switch 'main' sometimes to know about the difference. I find ArchLinux because I have search for some news about HURD I find archhurd - is this the beginning of a real ongoing in hurd development - I hope so.

Well, this is a discussion forum, not necessarily a 'begging' forum...
Anyway, I see sort of a question:

you only missed the '?', but I think you'd better discuss this here or there, being it an Arch/Hurd related 'question'.
Regarding the first part of the post, I can only say that Slackware and Arch share many similarities; Arch is a rolling distro though (don't know about DLD), so you'll have to try it and see if this development approach suits your needs.
