i installed arch linux lxde and it looks really bad like windows 95 kind of thing ? so installed a theme but it still didnt help all of it the scroll bar still looks old and the file edit etc buttons in my terminal look really bad to can anyone help me?

You need the correct gtk theme engine for the theme to look as it was intended.

What theme are you trying to use? Different GTK themes often will use different theme engines (e.g. Murrine, Equinox, pixmap, etc.).

Your best bet is to
pacman -S gtk-engines
That will give you a good selection. The customise look and feel in preferences on panel menu will be able to change the theme to something much less ugly.
