Wireless, archassistant and policykit

Hello everyone,

I had my wireless configuration up and running but didn't properly start xfce4 with the ck-launch-session command. Had problems rebooting, suspending and couldnt use sound etc...

So i edited my slim.conf to launch it with the correct command.

Now with that fixed, the archassistant helper program does not work. I get a message saying that iwgetid command i not found and that my wpa_supplicant i probably not configured correctly. I get the same error when i try to run it through terminal. Those commands didn't have a problem before.

I'm guessing this is a general problem with my policy configuration rather than a problem specific for the wireless setup. Commands like reboot does not work either. I have used the gpasswd command to add my user to the different groups but to no avail.

I am using xfce4 as my DM with slim as my login manager.

Thanks for the help smile

Re: Wireless, archassistant and policykit

I cannot start dhcpcd daemon either and I can't run wpa_supplicant if I dont type /usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant.

Re: Wireless, archassistant and policykit

You might want to check your $PATH and make sure /usr/sbin/ is not missing.
