archiso and packages.list

I'm trying to build "the most basic Arch Linux live media" following the instructions on the Archiso wiki page. All works fine as long as I follow the instructions. I'd like, however, to add in a couple of packages, using packages.list. Where do I put this file so that it gets picked up by the build scripts?

just add what you want on build.sh

You can use configs/releng as reference for more advanced things.
