(solved) Partition nightmare, no longer recognizing some partitions?

I was installing another OS and somehow my Grub got messed up. I went and redid grub and now I can boot into Windows and I can boot into Arch. However when I boot into Arch my Urxvt terminal looks weird like this:

http://ompldr.org/vYTBtZg

I no longer have transparency etc. I checked and it seems like my NTFS partitions are no longer being recognized as well. What could be the problem and how could I fix it?

edit:

I installed Grub back on the MBR and everything appears alright from the Windows side and 90% of everything seems alright on Arch. I can't figure out what is causing the terminal issue and not reading my NTFS partitions any more.

edit 2:

figured it out, my ntfs partition sda3 was bumped up to sda4..... I have NO idea why

That's why we use UUID's for partitions instead of device names.

To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.
