Random request to access the GNOME Keyring

Hey,

I've installed Arch Linux recently with GNOME 3. Sometimes, I get requests to access the GNOME Keyring for no reason. Usually, I get this request when I try to connect to Wi-Fi or change some system configurations, but this time, I get the notification totally randomly.

I installed a couple of AUR packages and I'm wondering if one of them could contain some kind of trojan.

What do you think? Is there a way to know which application is requesting access to the GNOME keyring?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Random request to access the GNOME Keyring

I wouldn't have thought there was any chance whatsoever of a trojan in an AUR package. I had a couple of issues with keyrings when I installed Gnome3 a few weeks back. I resolved it like this according to my notes:

Press 'ALT-F2'
Then type in 'seahorse'

Right click 'Passwords: login'
Select 'Change Password'

Change the password to blank. This will allow autologin to use your wireless password, start remote desktop, etc.

I've no idea how to find out what app' is requesting access to the keyring. Probably a logfile somewhere - I looked in /var/log but there isn't anything obvious.

Re: Random request to access the GNOME Keyring

Could you give us a list of your AUR packages with
pacman -Qqm

Re: Random request to access the GNOME Keyring

I won't change my password to blank, just in case.
