I have installed Arch Linux yesterday and I falled in love with him
I tried to remaster Arch so I installed some packages and my modifications, but packages works only in livecd mode. When I installed my ISO, all my mods and packages dissapeared...
Why?!
I know I can add additional repo with my packages but I'd like have installed packages and modified files out of the box...

It would be nice if you told us how exactly did you remaster it.

I chrooted mounted root-image.fs

Not sure if I get it. Did you change the official Arch ISO?
You need to point pacman to where the packages you want to install are - whether the CD, USB or some mirror on the Internet.

I remastered official Arch ISO. When I chrooted root-image I installed packages etc. I built the ISO, but my changes works only in livecd. When I installed my remastered Arch, all my changes gone.
And /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ is empty and there are no any traces of my modifications.

In the installation process you tell pacman where are the packages you want - did you pick some mirror or the CD?

Is much more easy to start from-zero than remaster...
Anyway if you only used root-image.fs, you missed /usr/share that is on usr-share.fs.sfs.
