Hi all, languages like Arabic.. doesn't render well at all in chromium as well as English (it's little thin but readable) ..
I've got ttf-ms-fonts installed.. but no good.

Re: Bad fonts rendering especially in Chromium

I'm not sure if this could be useful for you, but I resolve my fonts rendering problem installing freetype2-infinality (and ttf-ms-fonts as you) package from AUR.
Take a look at this page on the wiki.

Hello smokn smile

I'd recommend you install the Infinality patches:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … d_packages

The package 'freetype2-infinality' is in the AUR (if you're on a 64bit system you'll need lib32-freetype2 from multilib)

You'll get notifications of conflicting packages on the system, this is notmal, the Infinfality suite will replace a lot of font types.

Keep in mind this is just a recommendation for English font types, it's what I use to ensure my system renders fonts properly and hasn't failed me on any of my machines yet.

It happened only in certain website?
I've read that for rendering correctly few websites need the ttf-win7-fonts package from the AUR (link). I didn't install it because I don't have this problem, but maybe it could be useful for you.
I'm a newbie, I hope someone with more experience in this field can cut in on for giving you more accurate advices smile
