If you can't figure it out, post your pacman.conf.

IRC said that? Removing the package manager, really? Seems like I should spend more time there.

IRC told me to burn things... really, if someone said that, there's a half dozen ops in that channel who will kick/ban/mute you for suggesting something like that.

I suggested removing yaourt and package-query. Dunno where you got pacman out of that.

If you reinstalled pacman you should have your pacman.conf back, so post it.

It's not that easy because you need pacman to install Arch packages so if you really removed it you can't just install it back. The question is, did you really remoe it? Somehow 'pacman' is still a valid command on your system.

Easy i download pacman and install it
So you downloaded a source tarball, ran ./configure and make install without any regard for the correct configure/build flags. I assure you that the file you posted is not the file that the pacman you have installed is reading. Proof is verifiable with 'pacman -Sy --debug'

Look, you're using a package from [testing] and something tells me you're not reading the ML. You don't even read the forums.
Unless you have a crystal ball you're bound to have problems.

ML is the mailing list. First of all you should have read the wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Te … testing.5D

you either forgot to run pacman-key --init and didn't set up in pacman.conf SigLevel = Optional TrustAll
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Are you sure you ran "pacman-key --init"....
Edit: also try changing the keyserver in /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf to something else (e.g. hkp://pgp.mit.edu)

Honestly, did you even read the first part of the message you just quoted? If you ran `pacman-key --init`, this file will be on your computer, or you have uncovered a bug. Given that you neither 1) told us you did or did not run the command or 2) give any output from it if something went wrong, the ability and desire for people to help you is approaching 0%.

You should reinstall pacman from core instead of testing. Go read the mailing list about the changes in pacman 4, wait for it to hit core, and then upgrade to pacman 4.
