[SOLVED]** (gdm-binary:... Var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket no s

** (gdm-binary:...) WARNING **: couldn't connect to system bus: failed to connect to socket var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket no such file or directory

Super newbie trying to install gnome here. This error comes along with "Id "x" respawining too fast: disabled for five minutes.

i dont know much so i started looking in var/run, and there is no folder called dbus at all

Unfortunately im on my ipad as my laptop does not have any GUI atm. So i cant really post copy paste from files, but i can post specifics if it would help.

Ive followed the beginner guides on arch as well as the one on gnome arch, trying (obviously?) to use gdm and inittab to launch gnome

Have you installed dbus and added it to DAEMONS in your rc.conf?

I had it installed but wasnt sure if i needed to add it, or how, but that was somewhat intuitive. It worked! Thanks
