Balance in alsamixer man page

The alsamixer man page says this on balance:

> The B or = key adjusts the balance of volumes on left and right channels.

But as far as I can see, the B and = keys only set the left and right channels the same, not adjust them, that is achieved with the Q, Z, E and C keys (mentioned later in the man page).

Am I right in thinking that the man page is a bit confusing on this issue, and if so, how do I go about getting it changed?
