Supreme Commander doesn't start (msvcrt.dll issue)

I installed Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance via steam, but it won't start up and the terminal gives me the following output:

fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 59 (SPI_SETSTICKYKEYS)
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 53 (SPI_SETTOGGLEKEYS)
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 51 (SPI_SETFILTERKEYS)
wine: Call from 0x7bc4dd48 to unimplemented function msvcrt.dll._aligned_malloc, aborting
err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x4a96a5

I tried installing vcrun5 and vcrun6 via winetricks(because of information I found on the winehq page), but they appear to be already there. I am not sure what to do from here, any help is appreciated.
One thing to note is that I used to play Forged Alliance just fine about 6 months ago, on the same machine with the same Arch installation that I am having problems right now.
Thanks in advance
