Unable to connect to any network (wired or not) using Network Manager

Hi,

I'm a new arch user and I have some problem with Network Manager.

In fact, I can't connect to any network (wired or wifi) using Network Manager.

Here are some more informations :
- If I stop nm-applet, I can connect manually using dhcpcd, there isn't any problem. So, it's a problem specific to nm-applet.
- My system is up to date. I use Gnome and nm-applet.
- Fun fact :First, I looked at the logs and thought it was a dhcp problem. But NM receive the dhcp lease and, (here's the fun fact) I can connect to the network during half a second ! Actually, if I launch a connection to a network in network manager, he will do his job. If, meanwhile, I launch Firefox, I can go on the web. But, after some seconds, Network Manager disconnects everything telling me he was "Unable to connect".
- I read this : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … P_problems . It doesn't change anything.

I found a way to bypass this problem. Now, I think that it is a IPV6 problem. In fact, if, in my connection settings, I manually switch "IPV6 Parameters" from "Automatic" to "Local link only", I can connect to any network. But, one more time, "Local link only" is the only parameter to solve the problem.

Then, I also tried to disable ipv6 using the kernel parameter at boot. But, in this case, I can't connect to any network, whatever the IPV6 Parameters are set to.

It's not very comfortable to change parameters for every connection settings...

Does anyone has any idea to solve this problem ?

Here's a log from nm-applet (using wlan0 but it's the same with eth0) :

Re: Unable to connect to any network (wired or not) using Network Manager

I believe setting the IPv6 Address method to automatic makes it send a router solicitation, and it waits for the router to respond with an IPv6 address.   It is probably erroring out when it doesn't receive one.  If your router doesn't support IPv6, then either setting the ipv6 address method to either "Disabled", or "Link Local" is the appropriate thing to do.

To use automatic you either need a router with ipv6 support, or another machine running radvd to respond the the solicitation.

Re: Unable to connect to any network (wired or not) using Network Manager

Maybe, but the problem is that I can't set ipv6 to disable (or disable it completely). It must be set to Link local.
