You have a Radeon 4650 correct? Are you sure that it can run all 3 outputs simultaneously? Some cards can only run 2 of there outputs at a time, even if there are more on the back of the card. Actually, when I look at Newegg, it looks like the 4650 only has a DVI and Displayport, where is the VGA coming from? Or do you have 2 video cards?

I've never heard of a HD4000 series with 3 screens running off of it. Eyefinity was introduced in the HD5000 product line. You could probably pick up a 5670 or 6670 fairly cheaply (make sure you get one of the Eyefinity models).

Re: 3 monitor setup and display port please help

Here's the specs on the 4600 series. It looks like there are only two controllers; i.e. you can only run two displays simultaneously.

I recently purchased the VisionTek Radeon 5450 for about $130. It implements Eyefinity and provides three DVI outputs (3 independent controllers). After plugging in the new card and setting XRandR, everything seemed to "just work". (I'm using the i3 window manager.) No complaints so far.

EDIT: I'm also using the open source ATI driver.
