So i just did a fresh install of arch. Before you ask i did read the wiki well and countless forums for the past 9 or so hours and nothing i try works. Its a BCM4312. I already installed the firmware a while ago and dmesg reports
[ 10.891897] Broadcom 43xx driver loaded [ Features: PMNLS ]
iwconfig, ip link and all similar packages say there's no wlan interface.
How did those who have a smilar card set it up? Been fighting with it for hours now.

Not a single reply? No ideas or questions? I've tried the stuff i saw suggested in similar threads. They didn't work or i did them wrong somehow. Really need the help.

Dude, its only been 30 minutes ... and during a work / school day for most.
Output of lspci?

Ah, it didn't occur to me. It's night time here and I'm so tired from trying to set this up, i can't think straight. Didn't cross my mind. Apologies.

I assume that's the relevant part of the output. Or did you want all of it?

What specific driver are you trying to use? According to the wiki your card could use multiple drivers. Have you tried multiple? Are you sure you have the right one?

I tried the one here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19514 and on other sites. I've only tried broadcom-wl driver only, just from different sites. In all the other forums people solved their problems using this one so it's what I've been trying.

Did you run:
lspci -vnn | grep 14e4
like in the wiki and find that the wl driver was correct for your PCI-ID?

Just confirming that I had read the etiquette document, but pastebin won't let me create a paste for some reason, so I'll have to put it here for now.

Reread the wiki page again: it recommends that you use the open source driver.
And pay particular attention to the section about blacklisting modules that conflict with the driver you install...

Well, here is the stuff from my home system. I just acquired this by ssh'ing into the box via the well behaved wireless stack.

I bet you are missing the b43 firmware. Check your logs and the output of dmesg.
You need to have:
aur/b43-firmware 5.100.138-2 (298)
Firmware for Broadcom B43 wireless networking chips
installed.

I only reinstalled the b43 cutter and firmware. after reinstalling I thought I hadn't fixed it, but after reading more forums and the wiki I realised me wireless interface was being listed as eth0 and not wlan.
