Locale Errors

I'm sure this is an easy fix, but assure me, I've read the manual, and asked around a little. Whenever I run something like ls++, I get an output of

~ > ls
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
	LANGUAGE = (unset),
	LC_ALL = "en_US.UTF-8",
	LC_COLLATE = "C",
	LANG = "C"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

A friend of mine also thinks errors I'm having with my vim powerline symbols/color tests are to do with it to

Any information? I've gone over the locale page on the wiki, before anyone suggests it.

Re: Locale Errors

For starters, what's the output of 'locale' and 'locale -a'?
