[Solved] Movies on 1080p screen

I have a laptop with 1080p screen and Nvidia 460m card. I have install the latest nvidia drivers. When I play  movies  720p and 1080p, I get something like lines on the screen when there is too much movement. These lines do not show on my second screen 1650X1050 when I play the movie. I have tried mplayer, smplayer and vlc with gpu. I guess the problem is the screen with resolution 1080p. How can I fix it?

This sounds like screen tearing.  Use a search engine of your choice and search for "screen tearing" along with whatever video hardware is in play here.
