MPD segfaults when streaming AAC

I've recently tried to play streams in MPD (via 'mpc add [stream]', but whenever I use an AAC-formatted stream, MPD segfaults immediately, leaving nothing in ~/.mpd/log or elsewhere.

For instance, I can play this stream (Opera Broadcast, 128k/s MP3) perfectly well:

...but the AAC version of the same stream crashes MPD immediately:

I can't find any sort of information as to why this would happen; no log seems to have been written anywhere. I've tried several different versions of MPD, and can play local AAC files just fine. What's going on here — and how can I get some more information from logs or somesuch?

EDIT: Further information — AAC works, but AAC+ (aacp) doesn't. Not sure what this implies.

EDIT2: Aha, this patch worked, though I had to adapt it to MPD's new file names — the code has changed substantially since that patch, but the relevant parts are still there.
