Hi
Whenever I try and run
sudo pacman -S kde
I get the following errors:
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: kdenetwork-zeroconf-ioslave and kdenetwork-kdnssd are in conflict
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Cheers
Fet

kdenetwork-zeroconf-ioslave conflicts with and replaces kdenetwork-kdnssd. Remove the one you don't require.

Wait for your mirrors to update then do a full system update.

I think it has already been solved https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/39706

Thanks all.
I managed to get around it by running:
sudo pacman -S kdebase kde-meta

Since you have a working solution, please mark the thread as solved. Thanks.

Well it's better if the OP doesn't mark this thread as solved. I've also tried to install KDE and ran into the same issue, and it's still happening to this minute. So basically the issue in itself is not solved.
If it ain't broke, you haven't tweaked it enough...

The issue is solved. If it doesn't work for you, it's because your mirror is out of date.
Wait a minute, the problem here is installing the entire kde group instead of meta packages.
Edit2: OK, should be fixed now, kdnssd has been removed from the repos.

What "SOLVED" means to you? Solved to those who have updated mirrors only? If so, it's not solved, at least not for everybody

If the only issue left is that you've chosen to use an out of date mirror, then yes, it is solved. The problems left are your own.

No, they're not. The mirrors are a part of Arch Linux, so if the mirrors are out of date how could this be "my" problem?
Well, at least for me it's now solved. But then again, could not be solved for everybody, and it's not their problem at all.

Mirrors are not "part of Arch Linux". They are exactly that -- mirrors. They are set up by other sites that wish to mirror Arch and other software. If they are out of date, they are that mirror maintainers problem, and by association, your problem. You must find an up-to-date mirror.
Out of date mirrors are not an Arch Linux problem.

Use a different mirror. This thread seems solved to me. Please don't continue with the "mirror-out-of-date" derail.
