[SOLVED] nvidia-340xx-lts fails after upgrade to linux-lts 3.14.36-1

update2:
Problem solved in: nvidia-340xx-lts 340.76-5 with linux-lts 3.14.36-1

update:
The question has been answered and the bug was reported.

My question is: Where should I report it? Respective Arch Package Maintainer or Upstream?

I am in doubt of where to report because of the different version numbers in the various nvidia packages after doing a full system upgrade with pacman.

problem:
--------
lxdm with nvidia=340xx-lts fails to start after upgrade to linux-lts 3.14.36-1
(downgrading to linux-lts 3.14.35-1 solves the problem)
architecture: x86_64

boot error messages:

Re: [SOLVED] nvidia-340xx-lts fails after upgrade to linux-lts 3.14.36-1

Those messages suggest the 3.14.36 lts-kernel changed some things and nvidia-340xx-lts module needs to be rebuild against it.

An arch bugreport against nivdia-340xx-lts seems the best option.

nvidia-340xx-lts 340.76-4     <--ends with -4 instead of -2 as the other two nvidia packages(is this relevant?)

The number 4 is the pkgrel variable and specific to each single package.
It's typically increased every time the PKGBUILD changes but upstream version stays the same.

For your problem it's not relevant.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
