Adding an SSD drive to an existing dual-boot Arch/Win10 setup

Hello!

I recently got a new SSD drive. I use Arch for work and whatnot and Windows 10 mostly for games and my wife uses it as well. Anyways, they are both installed on a 256 which quickly ran out of space. I also have a 3TB HD. Space is currently split between both OS.

SSD is ~128 Arch / ~128 win
HDD is 1.5TB arch / 1.5TB win

I know, alot of space. I hardly use the HDD. I use it to stash pictures, videos etc.

Anyways, so I'm thinking of using the new 500gb Samsung 850 evo for windows only, and leave the full 256GB for the arch install. So basically, how can I go about "moving" the windows stuff from the current ssd to the new one? I'm thinking that I should use one of the cloning tools for Windows to migrate stuff over to the new drive but I'm afraid that my boot-loader is going to freak out on me. It's a newer EFI install using gummiboot as my bootloader.

I would make a note that I did use LVM to partition my drives so there is that. Let me know if any more info is needed. I can work my way around linux but I go blank when it comes to partitions, bootloaders etc.

Post your setup

$ blkid

I think it's hard to boot with gummiboot an LVM partition.

do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint wink

This sounds a lot like a windows support question, that said, just copy windows' files over to the new disk and see if it boot and/or doesn't complain about licensing. If it doesn't work the windows boot iso/usb might be able to make it bootable again.
