Windows minimizing when clicking desktop (KDE)

I'm getting this weird effect on KDE's desktop where if I click an application window (ie. Google chrome), click the desktop the windows on the specific monitor all become hidden.

To reproduce this issue:
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Left click Google Chrome
3. Left Click Desktop
4. Left click Google Chrome
5. Left click Desktop again.

When I do this, the monitor the application was on does the "show desktop" effect where all the windows disappear until I right click with the mouse and then left click the desktop.

Does anyone know how to turn this off or what I'm talking about? It's a qwerky effect that's fairly annoying.

I'm getting this now as well. Happens with Konsole. Not sure what the deal is.
