This is the first time I have encountered such a touch pad setting. My touchpad acts like a proxy touchscreen instead of the kind of touchscreen I am used to : where ever I start from on the touchpad the pointer stays in its original position then moves relatively. I am sure this is just a option I am not able to configure but I cannot find any solution.
I am using libinput but I have not made any changes
my libinput-list-devices output for the touchpad
