Cannot type accented chars in KeePass 2.34

Hi,

the subject says it all, instead of accented char, nothing is entered. It used to work in the past. I still can type in text editor and paste into KeePass, so it is not a font issue.

Any idea? Related to Mono (updated recently)?

P.S. I use MATE desktop.

Why are you not using KeePassX ? You can install it from AUR and it's native ported to be natively on Linux.

Re: Cannot type accented chars in KeePass 2.34

I used to use KeePassX for many years in the past, but then I switched to Chromium browser and this forced me to switch also to KeePass.

As far as I am aware, KeePassX still does not support http plugin, does it?

Re: Cannot type accented chars in KeePass 2.34

Not officially, but it was merged to a GIT repository by someone already. Check out "keepassx-reboot" on AUR. It uses the latest version and it seems to keep up with the official repo. I am using it right now and I can say it works without any issues. There was also at some point a http-plugin port for version 2Alpha6.

Re: Cannot type accented chars in KeePass 2.34

I have eventually migrated to keepassxc aka KeePassX Reboot. It works, but unfortunately it is very simplistic compared to original KeePass. (The window can't be resized, it does not support referenced copies of entries that share the same username and password, and the UI is very spartan, too.)

But anyway, the bug with Mono was quite a show-stopper, so I will have to live with what we have.

Thanks for the hint.
