Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese Font & Input Method?

What are some good font for these perspective languages?

Most importantly, what Input Method would you guys recommend for typing Japanese, Chinese, and Portuguese?

For Japanese a lot of the people I know seems to be recommending "Meiryo" but sadly it doesn't seems to be available as a font in the arch repository sad

Re: Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese Font & Input Method?

Welcome to Arch Linux - there is a wiki, and I'd say it's pretty good.

More precicely, there is a wiki article for japanese input + fonts (although I'm not sure if UIM also works for chinese input - otherwise there seems to be IBus and SCIM, although latter's wiki page is plastered with out-of-date markers).
For portuguese, there shouldn't be any input method necessary, no? Just setup an appropriate keyboard layout, and start typing.
