Unknown charset only in some HTML tags [SOLVED]

Hello everyone,

First of all, I am new on Arch Linux, coming from Debian and I have to say, I LOVE IT !
This is slowly becoming my favorite distrib and I've learned more in 3 days than the past 3 years.

But right now I face a rather strange bug that I was unable to solve.

My system was fine since a few weeks, yesterday I installed Gimp and configure my i3lock and then Firefox started showing symbols inside "code" HTML tags.
A picture is better than long text so here is an example :

Here you can see the result. It's pretty but not really useful.
It's the same everywhere you can find that tag, including github etc.

I tried undoing the changes in i3config, no changes.
I've tried to launch Firefox in safe mode, no changes.
I've disabled the permission for websites own fonts, no changes.

My locales and charset are ok as it's only happening in code tag, they've been ok since the first day.
I have not uninstalled Gimp because I can't see the link between that and this bug.

I've tried with Chromium and it's working normally.
It might be a Firefox problem but it's happening only on this Arch Linux PC. Same firefox on Debian and Windows with same plugins etc does not have the problem.
I asked on Firefox support but they seems rather puzzled because I got no answers

So here I am asking for your help.

Install a decent monospace font. Dejavu has good coverage.

Ok... As I was expecting someone to ask me to try uninstall Gimp, I did.

And tadaaaa ! No more font problem.

That's cool, but still strange. The dependencies are
babl-0.1.18-1  gegl02-0.2.0-7 gsfonts-20160531-3  ilmbase-2.2.0-2 lcms-1.19-5  libspiro-1:0.5.20150702-1 libwmf-0.2.8.4-14  openexr-2.2.0-3 gimp-2.8.18-4

gsfonts-20160531-3 I'm looking at you...

Do you known why and how to install Gimp without this problem ?

Done and reinstalled Gimp.

It works
