how to apply this patch?

I' m trying to apply a patch for acpi : https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment. … ction=diff

i don't want to cause problems at boot (i don't want my computer not starting anymore...), is there a way to safely apply it? thanks!

Look at the PKGBUILD for the Arch kernel, it includes a couple of patches.
