It seems that after recent update, thunar doesn't look good with gtk themes I use.
It's not one specific theme, it's more than one. In particular side panel doesn't have
the right color.
If I use nautilus everything is ok. But nautilus use gtk3, so it's not a good test.
Do you know if they changed anything in some xfce package that could cause this?
This is how it looks:

This is how it should look and how it used to look:

And I repeat ...it's not just arc theme.

Thunar 1.8 is buggy. It’s not applying certain themes properly. Downgraded it to 1.6.15-1 which works.

Thank you, problem solved.

Well, thunar is gtk3 beginning with version 1.8. So what you are seeing is probably the change from your gtk2 to gtk3 theme.
If there is a problem in thunar when displaying your gtk3 theme then maybe we should investigate this bug.

Yes. Themes need to add new thunar GTK3 configs. For example, to theme the background of the thunar sidebar, use:
.sidebar .view{
background-color: rgba(255,0,0,0.5);
}
...and change the colour and transparency to suit.

By modifying gtk-contained.css for a specific theme you can achieve the desired color scheme with Thunar 1.8. Here's mine Greybird customized https://imgur.com/a/AqaulPm
