In mutt, pressing the shortcut `e` is supposed to edit the raw message.
However, I got the following error messages.
sh: /tmp/mutt-myhost-1001-31603-21231187901829808153: Permission denied
sh: /tmp/mutt-myhost-1001-31603-318046574713800075: Permission denied
How could I setup mutt to get it work? I was not able to find the related information in man or the in-program help.
Moreover, is there a shortcut to toggle autoview? I mean, toggle between parsed html and the raw message.
The only thing I could find is to press `h`, which invokes autoview with html. But I can't go in the other direction.

"v" lets you select the parts to display/save etc.
About the error: mutt somehow seems to run as user 1001, is that your uid?
id
There's no specific thing to setup for this - it should™ work ootb and is rather impeded by something that you *did* configure (eg. you editor?)

Note that if EDITOR is empty, mutt will effectively try to 'run' the temporary file, which might result in the errors presented. This is due to it effectively running `$EDITOR /tmp/whatever`, which if EDITOR is empty, expands to just the filename.

EDITOR must be set.
Thank you both for the help.
