[Solved]Totem - MPEG-4 AAC Decoder "missing"

Running Totem from terminal I see this error when trying to play an mp4 file:

Missing plugin: gstreamer|1.0|totem|MPEG-4 AAC decoder|decoder-audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)4 (MPEG-4 AAC decoder)

I have gst-libav and the bad plugins installed. Any ideas where to start?

Re: [Solved]Totem - MPEG-4 AAC Decoder "missing"

Apparently Totem or gstreamer doesn't like MP4 videos with Vorbis as the audio codec. I was recording my screen with Simple Screen Recorder and had the video codec set to MP4 and the audio codec set to Vorbis.
I switched the audio codec over to AAC and now Totem plays my MP4 recordings without throwing any errors.

I don't wanna necrobump an old thread but I wonder how did you do that? I tried almost every "solution" available and to play mp4 in Totem is kind of hard to die stuff. Can you share what was your solution? Thanks

Then please don't. The OP has not been back since April, so seems unlikely to reply.
