I am trying to connect to a WPA2 hotspot created with an android phone (huawei honor),
while i can connect with other device, I can't with my network-manager; never had problem with it before.
I get a "code 45" but i don't get any hit on any search engine I used.
Log I have:

I found something, but don't know if it help you much; I googled for "denied association (code=45)" and found this:
https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless … -p/3148055
https://support.google.com/chrome/a/ans … 2038?hl=en
Then you may try to search for "RSN information element capabilities".
For me it looks like something with encryption, but I don't know.
Maybe, for test, turn off network-manager service and try to set up connection manually with wpa_supplicant to see if this work.

yep, that is pretty much what i did found too. i tried wicd and still no luck, seems the auth is ok, but the the IP fails, and if i set static ip, the validation post auth phase will fail.
