I'm a long-time Ubuntu user finally moving over to Arch and I've discovered something a bit confusing. I've been using vnstat for years and I'm accustomed to using the --importdb and --exportdb functions of this package. I wanted to copy my Ubuntu stats over to my new Arch install, but to my surprise these functions are entirely absent from the Arch version (which is in the main repo).
So my first question is if anyone knows how to import stats into the Arch version of vnstat, and secondly, is it common to have different versions of the same package between different distros?

Ahhh of course, I should have known It just threw me because I normally expected an Arch version to have more features rather than less. Thanks for the answer.

Assuming both systems are 64-bit then, in most cases, you can simply copy the database files from the old system to the new one. When the vnStat 2.x daemon is started, it will automatically import the data from the old format databases to the new one if the new one didn't already exist.

The "more features" part is elsewhere in that same changelog.
