openoffice and awesome 3

When I use openoffice in awesome 3, scrolling through any document causes awesome to switch desktop, I have no clue what is causing this.

Did you have this problem before the X upgrade (provided you upgraded X at all)?

Maybe your mouse scrolling isn't configured - does it work in e.g. your browser?

I had that in the past. When you open OOo on one tag and switch to another before the window is opened, it gets shown on the new tag. If you scroll now awesome will switch to the tag OOo was originally opened in.

Re: openoffice and awesome 3

rine is right... had the same problem. Just open OO on let's say tag3 and keep it there, should work. If you open it on let's say tag1, and switch it to tag3, then it switches you back to tag1... pain in the ass...

cheers.

Anyone got any idea as to the reason for this? It's very, very irritating.

Re: openoffice and awesome 3

I don't use the mouse scrolling option for Awesome...it's on my Eee PC, so I just disabled the mouse bindings in my rc.lua to disallow switching tags via scrolling.  I did have a wild thing happen one time where I hade Ooo3 Writer open and every time I tried to click "Align Right," it would jump me to my tag 5!  I rebooted and it hasn't done that since...but I thought it was comical.

Re: openoffice and awesome 3

I am running a dual head setup. If I run OOo on monitor2 in tab x and open any menu in OOo (menu bar or right click), then monitor1 switches to tab x as well.

Happens since my last system update but neither OOo nor awesome3.3 were updated. And there are no special settings for OOo in rc.lua. I'm quite confused...

edit: I just noticed Duologics link... anyway strange to me that the problem pops up right now...

Re: openoffice and awesome 3

I'm using Awesome from git now, and the scrolling problem seems to be fixed.
I don't see any problems with presentations.
