xfree86/glibc segfault

After a system update on the 15th, xfree86 stopped working giving segfaults and 'io error 104's.  I case this happened to anyone else I solved the problem by downgrading glibc 2.3.3-1 to 2.3.2-3.

It's probably video card specific cause I didn't have any problems with my laptop (Nvidia) whereas my desktop is an older ATI Mach64 card.

Re: xfree86/glibc segfault

if you had ati drivers installed you would likely have to reinstall them.

Re: xfree86/glibc segfault

No special drivers, just the stock xfree86 ati driver.  I'm gonna recompile my X with the new glibc to see if that fixes the problem.
