firefox freezing X completely

Hello!

My firefox (current 3.0.5-1) is freezing X completely for a timeperiod varying between 4-10 seconds while loading or leaving an non-specific http://www.imdb.com title site.

No windows respond to mouse actions or keyboard actions (ctrl+alt+del doesnt work either), the actions/events are queued and applied when the freeze is over.

This freeze doesnt disrupt audio playback.

Adblock plus or NoScript doesnt help, and since it's seems to be non-specific entries it's probably a banner/ad related thing.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Regards

By the way, it's the same on a clean install running 32bit/64bit

Re: firefox freezing X completely

Just went there with a stock ff (exception of flash installed) and didn't have any problems.

Re: firefox freezing X completely

I have a similar problem when playing a video within firefox with the vlc-plugin:
System seems to be freezed but sound output is continuing. I cannot do anything with my keyboard anymore - only moving the mouse cursor. I then have to hard-reset my system.

I'm using a intel 945g with the all the latest updates from stable repo. My system is i686.

Anyone else having problems like this?

Cheers
