Black theme on app using libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so

I am having a problem with the application in question (kurso_esperanto in AUR) using a black theme. It uses libborqt-6.9.0-qt2.3.so, which I assume is the graphics library. Here is a screenshot from the settings window to show you what I mean.

This is not how it is supposed to look. Observe the same application running on Ubuntu:

How can I change the black theme on Arch to the normal theme like on Ubuntu?

Any ideas? I also noticed the Qt4 theme was black by default, but changing that theme to white didn't affect this one.

I'd really like to get this resolved...

Xpdf is also black if that helps.

There must be a solution. I'm betting this is some setting that Ubuntu patches for lighter colors by default.

I've got it! After digging through the X manual, I found that all X applications that use these Motif (right?) widgets accept -bg and -fg options. If I run the application with "kurso -fg black -bg grey", it looks how it is supposed to. smile
