Gnome-power issue

Hi all,

I'm having a trouble with gnome-power... i've followed this article http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Laptop
Specially the section about pm-utils...

The fact, is that i can't suspend or hibernate my laptop from the gnome's menu (when i click on Shutdown).

I can suspend or hibernate from the console instead.

I don't know which information i can attach to this post to do it more precisly, i've installed gnome-powermanager, pm-utils, configured the sudoers files so my user can suspend/hibernate without password...

When i run "gnome-power-manager" from the console, i get this:

[tehsis@Heather ~]$ gnome-power-manager --sync
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
The program 'gnome-power-manager' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
  (Details: serial 157 error_code 1 request_code 160 minor_code 25)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Please send me some help smile

Thanks

Re: Gnome-power issue

report a bug to the bug tracker - but first search if it hasnt been reported yet...
