Lyx/Latex Issue [Solved]

Hello.
This is my first serious tryst with LATEX. I am using Lyx here to write my project report.
I am successfully able to preview and export my document to dvi. However, I am not being able to convert the dvi file to ps or pdf.
I have tried

dvipdf myfile.dvi

which fails with the cryptic (to me!) message

dvips: ! Couldn't find header file cm-super-t1.enc.
Note that an absolute path or a relative path with .. are denied in -R2 mode.

What should I do to convert my dvi files to ps/pdf?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Lyx/Latex Issue [Solved]

Well, this same error message was solved here. Maybe you have the same problem?

Re: Lyx/Latex Issue [Solved]

since you are using Lyx, isn't Lyx able to save to pdf directly?
or is that were the problem comes up?

Re: Lyx/Latex Issue [Solved]

@ abesto
The solution in LQ needs installing a 135megs package. Since my ISP charges me per mb of download, I can't try this solution right now. :-(

@basov
It seems LyX internally uses the same tools which I have been trying from the CLI, hence the problem is right there.

@aqamar
Yo man! That is just a 0.05 mb package, and installing it solves my problem! Now I can directly export my LyX document to pdf. Thanks a lot, friend! :-)

Marking thread as solved. Thanks everyone.

P.S. : Before this, I was able to get a pdf of my document in a round about way. I had to export the LyX document to plain latex (.tex file) and then use pdflatex to directly convert it to pdf.
