Strange, possibly TeXmacs-related bug

I have occasionally been experiencing very strange behavior which I have only ever observed in connection with my use of TeXmacs, but does not obviously have anything to do with it. Occasionally while I am using TeXmacs (I haven't been able to pin down any more specific time than that), I will try to summon Gnome-Do, but it takes about 20 seconds to respond. Furthermore, when I open a terminal at that time, it does not appear that PS1 is set (I use zsh, and it appears to be using the prompt set in ~/.bashrc: [\u@\h \W].) These are the only indications I ever get of this strange bug - I don't even know what to call it or what to search for online. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?

Note: I just experienced this same situation, but it actually went away while I was typing. Gnome-Do is responding normally now and my zsh prompt is back. How odd...
