Hi,
I'm trying to build the Tbird 3 package from AUR and it keeps aborting because my system has autoconf-2.63-1 and the build seems to want 2.13. Is there a way to fix this??? I tried modifying client.mk per the thread here;
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=59671
But every time I reatart the build it re-extracts the sources and overwrites the changes I made. Is there a way to restart the build so that it will restart at the break point and not the start??
Thanks (the output from the crash is below)
==> Extracting Sources...
-> bsdtar -x -f thunderbird-3.0b2-source.tar.bz2
-> bsdtar -x -f thunderbird-lang-3.0b2.tar.bz2

the answer is in aur comments.
you need autoconf-compat which is in aur.

Thank you Wonder!! It's compiling right now.

Wow, it took over 2 hours to compile but I finally got it to build on my 32-bit system.
I have not setup my accounts yet, but tb opens and seems to work good.
Now I just have to figure out why it does not want to install on my x64 setup?

OK. I built it and then I linked my old '.thunderbird' folder to it (so it would pick up my existing TBird mail folders). When I ran it it displayed all the folders with 5 or 6 blank lines between each folder name. It would not display any email content at all. Is there a bug or something I can fix?? If it's not that do I have to start with no previous .thunderbird file? If so, will it import the previous mail folders to display them properly??
Thanks

The thunderbird 3 package in AUR is 32-bit only.
