Xorg and gnome : problem with bad chinese fonts

Hello!!!

So, here is my problem :
I went on the internet looking for a good chinese font and I've found a font in traditionnal with bopomofo ( ttf font type ). I've installed it by copying it at "/usr/share/fonts", at "/usr/include/X11/fonts" and at "/etc/fonts".

That worked great, I can use them in openoffice for instance.

I installed some nice chinese fonts trough the archlinux packages, and that worked perfectely.
that was before I installed the new ones found on the internet.

Now my chinese fonts are ugly, and it's like if fonts are meshed randomly when I write chinese in my web browser for example.
Even if I specify to Firefox that I was only one police for chinese, it does not work at all.

So, I'd like to put on font for chinese characters in all my applications, ... ( and just would like to use the new one in OOo)

( Gnome don't have enought settings for that.... )

Re: Xorg and gnome : problem with bad chinese fonts

You can set preferences for fonts through openoffice, I think. Did you try Tools > Options...? Default fonts can be set with Gnome's font properties. I don'T use Gnome now, so I can't tell you exactly where it is.
