/etc/environment not parsed when setting up autologin

I configured my system to automatically start x and auto-login after booting, as described in the arch wiki (method 1, using /etc/inittab). This works fine except that now /etc/environment isn't parsed anymore. What would be the best way to fix this? Put  'source /etc/environment'  in some init script?

Re: /etc/environment not parsed when setting up autologin

Hi,

I just want to bump this, because java apps like jabref don't work when the entry

AWT_TOOLKIT="MToolkit"

isn't parsed.
