Brother printer problems

I have a networked mfc 490cw printer.

Works on ubuntu fine, Arch can find the printer through the cups gui, but I cant get any further.

I have downloaded a .deb cups wrapper for the printer, used deb2targz, extracted the file and then copied the contents into /usr/local.

Now im stuck and have no more ideas.

There is no .ppd file on the disk and I can only download .deb or .rpm cupswrappers from the brother website.

The contents of the .deb cupswrapper was...
